Johanna graduated with merit from the European School of Osteopathy with an integrated Masters in Osteopathy, & is a member of the General Osteopathic Council & the British Osteopathic Association.  She is qualified to use myofascial acupuncture techniques (dry needling), which provide an extremely useful adjunct to osteopathic treatment.

After gaining a law degree, Johanna worked in a variety of fields, & having experienced both pressurised office & sporting environments, understands the demands each can place on the body.

For a number of years, Johanna worked in the professional sailing industry, & during this time she had the opportunity to discover the benefits osteopathy could provide in recovering from pain in the back, neck, shoulder and... well, most of the body!  While studying, a disc injury served to confirm the benefits of manual therapy & cement the conviction that understanding any given pain or injury is key to managing it.

Johanna has a special interest in treating elderly patients with longstanding & arthritic conditions, & takes real pleasure in helping provide relief from such pain.

She can be found in the Tisbury clinic on Monday and Friday, and at the Salisbury clinic on Wednesday.

Johanna also works at various back care clinics, providing advice on office ergonomics & management of the workplace environment.  It is amazing how an outside perspective can help taking simple steps to effectively reduce every day demands on the body.

Working to make each treatment completely patient centred, Johanna aims to provide pain relief and maximise function, coupled with advice to help the patient become self-sufficient and minimise future problems.
